26th February - More details were released today of the forthcoming charity concert in celebration of the 75th birthday of the Russian cellist, Mstislav Rostropovich. The concert will be held at Buckingham Palace on the evening of Tuesday 26th March, and will star the London Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Seiji Ozawa, with guest soloists Jose Cura (tenor) and Yuri Bashmet (violin). Paul Carey Jones and four other young soloists from the Live Music Now! scheme will provide the concert's finale, a performance of the Champagne Chorus from Johann Struass's Die Fledermaus.
