24th August 2006 - Paul Carey Jones narrowly avoided failing to perform at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival, appearing last Sunday as guest reviewer for Robin Ince's Dirty Book Club at The Smirnoff Underbelly, alongside tap dancer Jo Turbitt.

Paul was in Edinburgh during a break in filming Jonathan Dove's new opera for television, Buzz on the Moon, based on the 1969 Apollo XI moon landings, and also starring Nathan Gunn, Patricia Racette and Nicholas Ransley. Watch this space for more news over the coming weeks.

Congratulations are due to Paul's classmate from school Ioan Gruffudd, who overcame steep odds to be named the world's ninth-best-dressed man in a recent article in Esquire magazine.
