10th August 2006 - Congratulations to Katherine Allen on her victory last night in the National Eisteddfod's most prestigious competition for young singers, the W. Towyn Roberts Scholarship. Katherine's stunning performance captured the hearts of audience and adjucators alike, and she receives the £3000 first prize, as well as adding her name to the list of former winners that includes Bryn Terfel, Leah-Marian Jones, Elizabeth Donovan, Rhys Meirion and Aled Hall, as well as Rhiwbina's leading baritone in 2001 of course.
