18th November 2004 - Further to our previous article, the BBC has confirmed that Francesca Zambello's production of Rachel Portman's opera The Little Prince is to be broadcast on Saturday 27th November on network BBC2 at 7.30pm. The production stars Teddy Tahu Rhodes as the Pilot, Lesley Garrett as the Fox, Sir Willard White as the King, Aled Jones as the Drunkard, Richard Suart as the Businessman, Gweneth-Ann Jeffers as Water, and introduces Joseph McManners in the title role and Mairead Carlin as the Rose. The CD and DVD of the opera are due for release by Sony Music on Monday 29th November.

There will also be an item about the production on Blue Peter on Wednesday 24th November at 5pm on BBC1.
