2nd July - Diva Opera are preparing to take their production of Verdi's tragedy Rigoletto on tour, with a cast containing some fine Welsh male vocal talent, headed by David Kempster in the title role, with Jeffrey Lloyd-Roberts as the Duke, Stewart Kempster as Monterone, and Paul Carey Jones as Ceprano. For balance, the cast also includes the non-Welsh Caroline Childe as Gilda and Paul Reeves as Sparafucile. The production will travel to the Domaine Des Vaux Opera Festival in Jersey, the Festival de la Vezere in Brive, France, and Les Azuriales Opera Festival in St Jean, Cap Ferrat, France, and in December at the Theatre du Passage in Neuchatel, Switzerland.
